Ready as I'll ever be : a quest for (gender) identity

The research deals with the concerns and its impacts described by individuals experiencing profound gender dysphoria, it also provides with an opportunity to understand how the pursuit of realizing ones identity can be perceived differently, however irrespective of gender complexities notion of identity remains the same. Every so often, the expressed descriptions are highly intangible and provide great challenges in bringing forward the complexities, unless one is engaged in a reciprocal exchange. By taking such approach and positioning myself in the role of a (creative) tool, I would like to bring forward the nuances through the medium of photography, video and audio as a metaphoric expression. My involvement with the community has not only given me an opportunity to push my boundaries as an artist, but it has also encouraged me to expand my obvious deliberations. The research affirms my beliefs that the intentions of photographic explorations can be amplified when they are juxtaposed with other means. The ultimate intention of the research is to embrace circumstantial influences to position myself as an artist.
