About Us

Welcome to the Ngee Ann Kongsi Library

The Ngee Ann Kongsi Library at the McNally Campus is a specialist art library with a unique collection focusing on research and artistic practices in the region and globally. The current library collection size is 130 000, with the aim to grow its physical collection to 250,000, supported by an e-resourcing strategy. The Library also carries a collection of over 10,000 audio-visual resources.

The newly revamped library website allows access to a wide range of library resources. Students can access a collection of 1 million e-books and more than 100,000 e-journals acquired through Routledge, Taylor & Francis, SpringerLink, Ebooks.com, JSTOR, and Luminous Lint.

To further support the increasing research needs of the LASALLE community, additional specialised programme specific databases have been acquired – Drama Online (Performing Arts), WGSN, Berg Fashion Library (Fashion), Bloomsbury (Design) and Kanopy Film Database (Animation and Film).

The Library is an interactive space, supporting staff and student exhibitions, book launches, talks and various other activities, nurturing creativity. It encourages dialogue amongst artists, students and educators by providing the platform and space for such interactions to further enrich the learning experience at LASALLE.
