Welcome to the Traveller’s Accounts, a long-term art project which tells the story of the relationship between the Traveller and the Artist and how it involves the ways in which the food of a culture leads us from the unknown/unfamiliar to the known/familiar. We meet oooooooo (Nameless) world – the Traveller’s current whereabouts – through its food and other epistolary evidence. As we venture further into her findings realised through the Artist’s interpretation of her messages,this exaggerated example of a strange place, where the landscape changes unrecognisably, allows us to approach, appreciate, understand and critically analyse food in a contextually distinct environment. The journey of getting to know a People, a World, a system or a larger society through the lens of an adventurer feasting in a fantastical world.
