This thesis will discuss my work during three years with a former prison inmate, Alice, a 34- year old at the time, who has successfully rebuilt her life based on a newfound self-esteem. This person has now been reintegrated effectively into society and since her release she has been working in a major international organization in Singapore and has been granted the best employee award of the year 2005. The therapeutic process through a visual analysis of Alice's drawings will be described in this thesis, looking at the possibility of applying one specific technique used called & the re-envisioning process to overall prison population. The purpose is to consider how much this process of systematic transformation of the self should be particularly emphasized with people with self-esteem issues.
